Every day is a battle between:

Be kind and compassionate, have empathy for others, give them the benefit of the doubt

or

Fuck you for being so fucking stupid, mean, & shitty

Like if you're a former Republican/MAGA, man I really want you on our side and thanks for waking up but also FUUUUCK...
My favorite type of poster is the one who waits until any new, popular thing releases and then goes online to tell everyone how cool they are for not liking that thing and has a bunch of sycophant losers in the comments piling on to try and seem cool too

It has to be public and it has to be expedited

Even if it means spending a lot of money to hire enough lawyers and judges and investigators

A full public accounting of their crimes and of holding them accountable for those crimes

And it shouldn't wait for the next election to start, start now 1/
Biden and Garland’s biggest mistake was failing to hold those responsible for all the crimes and corruption we saw from 2015 to 2021 accountable.

The next Democratic President can’t repeat this. We need a special counsel appointed on day 1 — and tribunals setup to judge war criminals.

The discussion on the right is calling the left Demon Rats and child rapists and deciding whether to kick us out or round us up and murder us

The discussion on the left is whether or not redistricting is crossing a line in fighting open fascism

This does not bode well for us

A man who fought with the US was told he would be protected

He came here and got asylum and committed no crimes

Then the Trump admin refused to extend his asylum and he was told that him and his family were going to be sent back to be tortured to death by terrorists

Wonder what his motive was...

We do desperately need regulation on AI

But all the people who should be pushing that regulation are on Bsky telling each other that AI is useless and a fad

And they think saying that they won't be using it personally or mocking those that do is going to somehow fix the problem
democrats/liberals/progressives with any common sense need to get ahead of this electricity cost issue - we need restraint and regulation of ai and data centers, which are driving up costs www.cnbc.com/2025/11/26/a...
AI data center 'frenzy' is pushing up your electric bill — here's why
Energy-hungry data centers that underpin artificial intelligence are contributing to higher residential electricity bills, say experts.

Netflix didn't fire either of those people

And for every shit bag that's in the show there are ten people who are good and decent also working on the project that took thousands to create

Watch or don't watch whatever you want
Fuck STRANGER THINGS (on Netflix)

Noah Schnapp (plays Will Beyers) is a Zionist, racist, and genocide supporter.

He’s made horrible comments and been allowed to keep his job whilst they fired Susan Surandon and Melissa Berrara for speaking up for Palestine.

So the message here is that you can fail to lead, vote to help Trump repeatedly, refuse to build a coalition, suck at your job...but if you're willing to do one single thing (way too late) then we'll let you keep hurting the nation and the party?

This is how we fix Dems polling worse than herpes?
AOC and Mamdani not backing a primary challenge to Jeffries is fine, actually.

It’s transactional, sure. But Jeffries did ultimately come around and endorse.

IMHO throwing a primary challenge at him now sends a message: Even if you do come around, we may still come after you.

Abolish ICE is the furthest right we can accept

The entire DHS being abolished is what needs to happen

DHS and the Patriot Act and every other bullshit privacy invading, freedom destroying panic law that passed after 9/11 needs to fucking go

Abolish ICE is the bare minimum every Dem has to run on

There is no reason for Republicans not to do this shit again in every election from now on. They faced zero consequences for literally trying to overthrow an election and end Democracy itself in our country. None.

We had four fucking years and not one person who plotted to end America faces justice

I would be more optimistic about the prospect of the Dem "fight club" concept if a number of those in that club who say they want to fight hadn't also voted with the GOP to advance the MAGA agenda in various ways over the past 11 months
The "fight club" thing needs to be treated as phony until proven otherwise.

I too can make a club with the word fight in it and not actually fight.

I just never want to hear, "Garland was moving as fast as he could" or "There wasn't enough time to prosecute" or "The wheels of justice move too slow to hold him accountable in just one term" from anyone ever again.

We can do it, we just lack the will.

January 6th should have been the end.
Brazil’s Supreme Court ordered former far-right President Jair Bolsonaro to begin a 27-year prison sentence for his failed coup plot. Why didn’t we do that here?

Hey if you're wondering what a real piece of shit looks like, check out this dude.

"I actually support her cause, I just also think that it should be cool to bully trans kids. And if you post about those bullied trans kids killing themselves then you're manipulative."
Alejandra doomposts & makes enemies out of people who actually support her cause because her relevance depends on others being mad and scared.

It does her no good to tell followers that they're resilient/strong, or coalition build.

In any other context people would rightly call this manipulative.

I don't believe that the solution to a problem is to restrict people's freedom to choose whatever they want to choose.

And I know for a fact there is a way to have a system that serves the public well enough that private industry isn't a negative factor nor desirable enough to even exist.
You do not know what you’re talking about. This debate is always happening in Canada and right wing idiots like you are always making the system worse.
November 24, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Can't reply in thread, but in no way does keeping private healthcare legal somehow mean we take money away from everyone else.
Because that means taking funds away from everyone else so some rich dweeb can get luxury healthcare
November 23, 2025 at 10:24 PM
So the issue then is the wealth having influence on politics. Enough to influence entire national systems.

Let's address the core problem then, eh?

Also no one said rich people deserve better healthcare and in no way should private healthcare be better than public anyway.
And the private industry in those countries constantly uses their wealth to try and undermine the public options, also why do you think people who have more money deserve better healthcare?

answer is great but also it's telling that the guy who's been saying this since day 1 has to answer about whether he's an antisemite for 5 min every interview while the same people grin vacantly at the jewish space lasers lady and call her a brave warrior
WELKER: What is your message to Jewish New Yorkers who feel you won't be tough enough in your response to antisemitism?

MAMDANI: That I am looking forward to being the next mayor and fulfilling the commitment I've made to Jewish New Yorkers to not only protect them but to celebrate and cherish them

Of course it does.

You're saying it doesn't work in Canada? The Netherlands? Poland? Denmark? France? Sweden? Switzerland? Finland?

All of these nations allow duplicative insurance IE the ability for the rich to pay for private insurance and opt out of using Medicare.
Medicare was just the guide for what it would look like not the rule. Universal healthcare (single payer) means everyone is in. It's one or the other. It doesn't work if you allow (rich) people to opt out.

Call it optimism or call it cope, but I think Zohran leaving her in place isn't a huge deal.

He leaves her there and tells her the new job she needs to do, and if she does it...great!

If not, he can be honest and call her out, publicly lay out the problem with her & replace.

Only time will tell.
How do you suppose the NYPD interprets @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social leaving 1 Police Plaza to its current leader? As a reasonable gesture that shows he's someone the police can do business with? Or as a de Blasio-esque surrender that shows Mamdani is starting out afraid to challenge the NYPD?
