This movie might be "peak!", actually.
It might be because I was rather delirious after work today, but I did find a fair amount of the movie funny when it tried to be. That boomerang is going to live in my head for a long time. Also, goodness; the talent pull this movie had. Top billers notwithstanding, the sound-a-likes are good, too.
78) Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys (2001)
You think that an early-2000s CGI movie pulling from a classic like Rudolph would be rather shit, except...they did try at least. Yeah, the animation has aged, and the new characters stick out A LOT, but it's...okay regardless.

Starting to think this is definitely a case of "if you like this game, you're a sheep" based on the reactions tonight. Oh well, another one to add to the FOMO pile.
So...is Expedition 33 "fine" to talk about playing or did it become a taboo game like FFXVI wherein any mention of enjoying it or having enjoyed it gets you shot in the streets? Between the thing with the AI texture placeholders and the game having balance issues similar to XVI, I feel like it is...

Something I couldn't fit into the original post is how poignant the use of color is in this film. Sombertown being filled with buildings and residents that share a color palette of dreary blues and greys causes Kris's bright red and white to show so effectively how out of place he is there.
77) Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town (1970)
I like the way this film tells Santa's backstory; If a certain soda company were to ever die, we should canonize this as to why Santa's suit is red. Also, this is probably the Rankin-Bass special with the songs I know most of by heart (least their melody).

See I also kinda think like "looks like a PS2 game" is kind of a stupid thing to say when a game looks bad but that's moreso lack of familiarity with the source than anything. For every Silent Hill 3 or Final Fantasy XII you had at least 5 of these
