The queer kink party I'm going to has a monster/Halloween theme. So I'm going as a werewolf. The cutest little werewolf. Listening to schranz and wearing my tail and mask on my there.
My opinion is that when it comes sexualities and similar labels, there is a sweet spot of when it is useful to have a word and community for it. Too rare? Just describe it with normal words ("I'm into ... but only if..."). Common? Then a movement/community might not be needed. (Eg. "Straight pride")

Dear Bsky, how do you cope with friends sharing false news, clickbait etc? Not out of malice, but because "wow, cool!"... but the cool thing just happens to not be true when you look into it? I'm getting so tired. Brandolini's law, you know?
I guess this is the problem with the format of bsky (and similar). No space for nuance. I've met more watering down of the labels lately, but I guess it all depends what people you happen to meet. Not every GNC behaviour = secretly trans. Not every daydream about animal traits = secretly therian.
this post was mostly directed at the misconception that you needed to *literally* think you were non-human, which is a common idea I’ve seen echoed a lot. I didn’t say you *were* therian, but I just wanted to open the idea that it might be worth exploring within the character limits of social media.
Sounds like a weird wish, indeed, that I would ask a lot of questions about. I run into the type of people who say "what, do I have to *identify* as an animal to be a therian? That would be crazy, nobody does that! I'm *connected* to animals and I love wearing therian masks - so I'm a therian". >.>
I have to kindly point out, that the truth is somewhere in between. Unless you feel like you ARE a non-human animal (mentally/spiritually, we are all obviously physically human), then you aren't a therian. No shame in being a furry, pet player, imitating animals, etc. But they're different things.
did you know you don’t have to believe you are literally a different animal, physically or mentally, to be therian?

if you feel like you’re more comfortable thinking of yourself as an animal, or wish you had animal features, or feel like expressing animalistic behaviors, you might be therian!

Although classified as carnivores, wolves may sometimes follow an omnivorous diet. They can eat meat, eggs and even fruit!

This time of year, pumpkins are a special treat for our ambassador wolves.🎃 #wolffact

Ah, I see, you must be some kind of troll, because your responses don't make any sense, just random words? Sexual identity? Dry cleaning? Your earlier posts also contain a lot of weird takes about random topics, but I guess nobody else took the bait. Now I'm embarrassed for falling for it.
And furries are just people who enjoy cartoon animal characters with human traits. No weirder than anime fans doing cosplay. Really don't see how "humans are animals too" would make them stop enjoying like... Sonic or Zootopia or whatever. Weird to mix in them in your post.
Absolutely, humans are animals. Homo sapiens is a species of ape. I know this, I'm a biologist. Doesn't take away the feeling I have inside that I "should" have been born with a long snout, sharp teeth, fur, and a long and flat tongue. Can't help it, just trying to live my life. Why be rude?
I've appeared in media several times for different reasons. But I've also declined a lot of invites to interviews/TV etc, because the vibes were off. Even the most exploitative clickbaity production companies will tell you "it will be respectful" to your face. You *have* to check their material.
If a journalist or tv producer contacts you because they want to portray (insert niche subculture/identity/sexuality here), think before accepting. At minimum: Look at earlier works from that same journalist/paper/production company.
So many times, non-therians assume I'm a fox or cat if I'm dressed as a wolf. Even if I have a mask, or a collar that literally says "wolf". I'm a small woman. People associate wolves with masculinity, while cats and foxes are "cute and feminine".

It's so weird of humans to *gender* other species.

New #Zine Play date: Scratch & Me. 1/2: What starts as #animalhrt reintegration turns into a gay, feral mess. Tail-flags, enrichment-bot-humping, & creaturely flirtation they don’t have protocols for. #exhumanisn #therianthropy & finding love thru nosebumps, leg mounts, & disregarding clipboards.
Media often prioritises single emotional stories over long-term scientific research on a topic. They always want to put a "human face" on everything. This can lead to misleading representation, since the job of an interview (etc) is not to be statistically accurate - but to grab attention.
