Mightily obsessed with Sez and Freeports, seeing as I suddenly found myself living in a Freeport without so much as a proper consultation or impact assesment. Hacked off Remainer. There's always 'more to see here'.
Pinned
today's chunk of Freeport Hell; which started with a fairly innocent looking Tweet on SouthDowns and Oil, and ended up taking a tour from Cornwall to Iceland, Sinopec, Hungary, Bulgaria, Geothermal Energy, Exxon Mobil, Trafigura, Reuben Brothers, and Linden. x.com/threadreader...

Just got back from HMP Bronzefield.

Most importantly: Qesser Zuhrah was transferred to hospital via the ambulance she’d been demanding since 5pm yesterday.

David Lammy, Keir Starmer — you are on the brink of causing the deaths of multiple young Palestine hunger strikers.

I’m beginning to believe he might not have a clue about very much at all, apart from grifting

The EU has approved an indefinite freeze of ~€210bn in Russian sovereign assets. That ends the 6-month renewal cycle which Hungary used to try to block it.

The freeze lasts until Russia ends the war and pays reparations.

Heartening evidence - this time from @stellacreasy.bsky.social in the Guardian - that the blockage towards better relations with Europe is the exceptionalists at the heart of UKG and the pro-European movement as much as Brexiters.

The UK has to stop ignoring Europe and the 27.

A cold audit of the damage Brexit has caused is long overdue. Just the facts, what 8% cut from GDP means, the loss of markets for SMEs, the red tape and much else. Then hang it on those responsible, primarily Johnson, Farage, and the cabal of lying charlatans who drove the UK over a cliff.

Still thinking about what it means for Maduro & looking at other countries these two have fought over & my guess is it will probably look similar, he'll support the sharing of the resources with one of them & give up the countries sovereignty or he'll be removed, the US is already backing his rivals
