Oh yeah it was great! I crossed paths with that car three separate times yesterday but didn’t get a chance to talk to the owner. Judging from the rally stickers this car (and driver) has sure been around

I don’t know what best practices are but a park tool boot isn’t even a permanent fix with a tube, in my experience. I used an automotive tire patch on the inside of my MTB tubeless tire recently and it has held, but as usual YMMV.
