🧵 Here's fresh data for you to absorb. What are your "must-have" features in a vehicle?

When we glance over our latest @autopacific.bsky.social research, it's interesting to see the marked differences when it comes to "Must-Have" versus "Nice to Have" amongst generations of new vehicle shoppers.

That's a wrap! My week of testing Land Rover's 2025 Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE has come to a close, and I miss it like hell already.

Head over to my Instagram to read my final thoughts and take on this beloved boxy thing (which I still want to buy ASAP).

I'm starting to see a lot of new Hyundai IONIQ 9s in my neck of the woods...

Excellent answer! Any examples you fancy?

What's your *chef's kiss* interior design element?

For me, any kind of wood trim in a vehicle's cabin. Even if it's fake.

Look at this wave of starting MSRPs over the years for the Grand Wagoneer:

2022 MY: $87,995
2023 MY: $90,495
2024 MY: $91,945
2025 MY: $84,945
2026 MY: $62,145

Jeep had its "Ope!" moment around the middle of the decade.

I just want a EREV Pacifica.

Erroneous. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN AT STELLANTIS.
robbydegraffap.bsky.social
Yo, Stellantis has zero excuse to not drop the Grand Wagoneer's EREV powertrain into the Pacifica.

Some exciting Mitsubishi news today...in addition to the automaker announcing a new proper off-road trim, not just an appearance package, of the Outlander (!) due to bow late next year. We also saw a better peek at the brand's soon-coming EV which should be a distant clone of the latest Nissan Leaf.

We sold a car via Carvana during the pandemic and the process was *excellent*.
robbydegraffap.bsky.social
Well I did NOT expect this...my parents, who are in their 70s, are currently shopping for their next vehicle and are enjoying using Carvana.
robbydegraffap.bsky.social
But the question is...will anyone actually take full advantage of the newly updated 2026 Grand Wagoneer's EREV powertrain and actually plug it in?

One can hope, right?

Right.

I'm tired of them calling everything that's a mild-hybrid a hybrid.

Toyota's been on a concept blitz this week...and it's only Monday. Peep the Corolla EV Concept, which likely previews the next-generation Corolla's strikingly more vivid design langauge. TBD if the U.S. market will indeed get an EV, but expect the gas/hybrid models to wear some of this styling.

Remember, whenever you hear that “speed wasn’t a factor” in a deadly crash, what they mean is that the car involved wasn’t technically speeding. At least “not by much.” It presumes that the speed limit wasn’t too high to begin with.

When it comes to death from collisions, SPEED IS ALWAYS a factor.

That's what I always think: "If they get in a wreck, all that shit is going to fly EVERYWHERE"

Never give your attention to "promoters" and "influencers". The lack of authenticity is bewildering, and it's starting to become more and more evident.
