Northeast, because you'll have, starting north going clockwise, A > 1 > B > 2 etc., which I've found helps immensely for people trying to keep track of positional-based things because so many mechanics are based on clock positions and whatnot
Quick question: Do you put the "1" waymark northwest or northeast?
