An independent taskforce *just* did a huge review of ADHD in England, and the conclusion was that it's "under-recognised, under-diagnosed and under-treated."

Puberty blocker clinical trial for Trans+ youth “is not about the safety of these medications.

"It is the result of an ideological view at the very top of the NHS that being trans is a ‘less desirable outcome," says @transactualuk.bsky.social Health Director Chay Brown👇

Pessimistic belief that one of the main reasons trans people are being attacked is to create a false 'need' to quit ECHR, in addition to attacks on migrants and disabled people.

For more on what it took to finally get legal recognition in the UK, read Christine Burns' 'Trans Britain'
British trans people had to go to the European Court of Human Rights in 1986, 1990, 1992, 1997, 1998 and 2002 before the UK was finally forced to pass the Gender Recognition Act 2004.

How much work to regain lost rights will they need this time?

Trust me, as someone who has used the Equality Act in litigation (in and out of course), I can confidently say Women's Institute and Girl Guiding are caving FAR too early and easily.

They both have strong policies and could argue they 'wish to include trans women/girls' and court would be yrs away

🔈 The Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act finally passed.

If it wasn't evident before, it's now crystal clear the Government prioritises punishment not protection of people seeking safety.

Can barely find words for how sick the latest gov policy on refuge and migration is. Policies to wreck my local community; harm my family, friends & neighbours; roll out the red carpet for racists. Ditto anti-trans vileness trashing lives. How shit and miserable the world they imagine is.

The 2nd half about the marketisatiom, language misappropriation of British Sign Language (BSL) and attempts by MakatonHQ to do the same with other sign languages which are unintelligible to local deaf signers is important!

I would really appreciate folks checking out this week's AA episode, and considering sharing it.

At present the "Playable Without Timed Inputs" tag name actively does not reflect how developers are told by Valve to apply it to games, highly limiting its usefulness to disabled gamers.
Steam's "Playable Without Timed Inputs" Tag Needs A New Developer Description - Access-Ability

A discrepency between tag name and developer description is causing an accessibility tag to be misapplied.

The Equality Advisory Advice Service (EASS) who formally accept breach reports seem to be useless. Pls boost.
