When I say ‘the crisis in TV isn’t a blip, it’s a paradigm shift’, this 👇👇👇 is why. The ground is shifting fast under our feet and ‘more of what worked before’ isn’t going to cut it. TV needs to see this as an opportunity for innovation, risk, experimentation and the new before it’s too late…
Last month, something unusual happened in TV - none of the main channels got a million viewers at 9pm. The bigger problem was it happened a 2nd & 3rd time soon after.

Another unwelcome landmark for linear TV & our shrinking shared TV experience.

Does it matter?

The SNP's Stephen Flynn spelled it out clearly today: Scotland needs a fresh start - Scotland needs Independence.

Rising bills. Falling living standards. The UK economic model is broken.

Independence is the fresh start for Scotland - so we can build a wealthier, fairer nation shaped by the people who live here.

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

That should come as no surprise given the development of age trends in voting over the past decade or so.
Is this not just a symptom of the Westminster first past the post system. That is the real problem of much that impacts UK
What is the business case for Nuclear in Scotland, we already produce nearly twice than we consume. We need a different strategy than this tired and unnecessary nuclear.
Perhaps because this is E&W greens and therefore not the whole UK, it’s how they minimised SNP coverage when they had 46 MPs

1/Striking speech by Macron: The future of European democracy depends on taking back its digital information space. A remarkable turn from Silicon Valley as source of enlightenment to being a purveyor of slop. And the stakes aren't just ad revenue but the nation.

Its utter crap to compare Scotland🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 who has minimal powers to England🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧 who have 100% powers. Even with one arm behind our backs and a fixed budget Scotland still do better. Imagine what we can do with 100% #independence powers.

This is truly chilling, and goes waaaay beyond immigration. When you have political parties saying that you don't need lawyers, courts, judges etc because the government cannot make mistakes absolutely everyone should be worrying. What starts with one group tends to expand to others.
Key to their proposals is a plan to abolish the Immigration Tribunal, which hears challenges to failed asylum claims, handing the appeals process instead to a team of officials within the Home Office.

The Tories also plan to abolish taxpayer-funded legal aid in immigration cases, with a document on the proposals arguing there "will be no need for lawyers" because claims would be "fairly assessed against the criteria".

I don’t have a crystal ball, but I have a good idea how this shutdown ends. Trump and Republicans will cave (he won’t admit he’s caving, of course, but he will cave).

SP26: Where are Reform's votes coming from?

A longer read for the weekend, taking a look at the rise of Reform. If you're the Conservatives or Labour, this isn't good news. The SNP meanwhile lose few voters and benefit from the split elsewhere.
SP26: Where are Reform’s votes coming from?
With Reform on the rise, how has that affected other parties? In short, Reform are lapping up the 2021 Conservative and 2024 Labour votes, but barely registering amongst past SNP voters.
