8 minutes ago this was the position of Electricity Generations in Scotland, producing 100% of our own consumption, 16% of Englands and 37% of Wales. Why the F##k would we need new Nuclear? We need to use this opportunity to a sustainable long term solution, not sacrifice for Westminsters needs

Ahhh @ballotbox.scot does much splendid work, however he openly does not use all pollsters and in the only article on 2026 he states (below)
I can see nothing in his work that supports the note on your graphic about Removing known bias etc etc

Ahh you mean this poll that showed 52% Yes taken in the middle of Covid where the leadership of Sturgeon had a marked uptick in support. Are you seriously suggesting we should have gone for Indy with a 2% lead in the middle of a pandemic? What route would we have used?

This is a great quote from a very interesting article from Mike Small in the National, well worth a read.
To my mind it sums up so many vocal posters - content to continue to fight the 2014 Referendum rather than stop and think.

A very striking graphic of where wind energy is coming from, up dated in real time
So what is the benefit to Scotland of all this renewable energy? fuel prices, food prices, housing, rent, infrastructure, poverty - so where does the benefit of all this electricity end up.

That is a very deceptive quote from Robins full article, shame on you.
Here is a fuller quote from his article entitled "The independence movement has ignored a massive clue over its failure"

A really interesting take from Robin McAlpine, to my mind it hits the nail on the head.

or the tiny fringe groups attacking as always anything that does not fit 100% of their narrative. We do not yet have a sustained majority amongst the popular vote for Independence, we need to continue to build that while at same time doing everything we can to achieve Indyref2

The scale of Wind generated electricity in Scotland is staggering, right now wind is producing 100% of Scotlands electricity, 50% of Wales and 10% of Englands, that is equivalent of us producing over 220% of what we consume.

UK government steps in to save Lindsay Refinery owner Prax files for insolvency. The rationale will be strategic importance and to prevent surge in imported Oil, this refinery has less capacity than Grangemouth.
Westminster caused this strategic emergency by allowing reducing capacity across UK

A very revealing graph rather sums it up, its not cybernats doing the abusing.

I think rather they have taken onboard the situation and recognise that a consistent sustained majority for Indy will take time. Certainly looking at polling since 2014 the move is to Yes but gawd is it slow.

This is the Labour Councillor who has just defected to Reform, only 5 years ago he was a Corbyn supporter.

Your periodic reminder of just how energy rich Scotland is.
As of 25 minutes ago we were producing 100% of our own electricity, 11% of Englands and 39% of Wales. Given the different size of markets this is Scotland producing 230% of the Electricity we consume.
