No joke, *this* is why so many companies forced Apple to abandon its in-app subscription requirement.
I cancelled Disney+ (which was in-app) with one click, and then had to log into Netflix and go through a cancellation form pipeline.

i think it should be illegal for the boston globe to allow me to sign up for an subscription online but then make me call and speak with multiple people just to cancel the subscription.

I think it’s nice of Canadian Tire to have those little red buttons that summon a floor worker to assist you. They don’t do anything, but I’m addicted to the placebo effect.
