Last day of November; even in late morning, the sun slowly sulks across the low sky.

Wet lanes and dry lanes. Mud. Muntjac. Riders on horses, and horses on hillsides. Squirrels, brazen, many, Hitchcockian stares as I walk by.

Still grumpy that Clubland (354) was abruptly replaced by a channel playing dire Xmas songs.

However. Currently on Now 80s (356), Clare Grogan is hosting a "St. Andrew's Day 30" program of Scottish hits. It's a reminder that a nation of ~5 million folk has relentlessly made so much good music.

C4 are showing "Nordic Train at Christmas", the Bergen to Oslo line - my favourite (done 6 times). But edited down to 1 hour, and narrated (why?).

(1/4) The shops have been noticeably busier this last week, so I'm switching into festive avoidance mode. This means often shopping very first thing, or very late.

This is because this time of the year we share space with people who rarely, or never, go into supermarkets. Most are fine.

A long time since last looked at the Wikipedia page for Berneray, and remembering there's still a few of my 2004-09 pictures on there (below).

A lazily racist low-grade humour dirge being a bit more popular than a talented, European-centric, artistic song. Yep, that was a portend for the eventual Brexit fuck-up.

Visited Gävle in Sweden, and the goat, in 2019 (shortly after it was built in case of arson).

Briefly took a gingerbread train out of the city by mistake.

Wishing friends and colleagues in the USA a pleasant Thanksgiving, with splendid food, good company and convivial conversation.
