yeah slightly better but still… 😭 i was driving home to nw Arkansas (moved away from Joplin in the 2000s) the next day and will never forget mobile morgue trucks and out of state first responders speeding AHEAD of me the closer I got. hopefully Jamaica won’t get flesh eating fungus kicked up!

the severe lack of compassion and empathy globally for chronic illness is actually truly horrific. people do not want to look sickness and vulnerability in the face so they resort to neglect and denial and it is a disease in itself. sickness isn’t weakness but that shit sure is.

my cousins were all like 10-20 years older than me and i called them cousins but only bc their parents (my actual aunts/uncles) were younger than my dad (I was from his 2nd marriage) so it would’ve been confusing, but I def thought of my cousin’s grandkid as niece-adjacent lol

I had help previously but it wasn't working out and l've had to do a lot of it on my own, now I'm stuck in a situation where working isn't possible for my health and while I'm already caretaking for my disabled child that needs constant care. I did not ever envision this happening to me and have always worked hard to take care of my family but now I'm in what feels like an impossible situation trying my best to take care of my kids and myself so I can stay around for them as long as possible. Im not enjoying coming online asking for help but I have no where else to turn. I'm doing
