What was done to Matthew 27 years ago still causes me and probably others to cry today.

He was beaten, tortured, tied to a fence and left for dead. He had only 2 spots on his face not covered in blood 🩸.

How could human beings be that cruel? They were this vicious, savage and sadistic.

I saw enough coming that I feel at least a bit clever to have made a fuss about the shifting scene. But people in any oppressed minority enjoy a measure of future insight like Cassandra or Ipuwer, but the foretellings and admonitions are basically always dismissed with a snort and a hand wave.

"Inevitability" means design decisions are no longer informed by user needs; now they are unilaterally imposed. The users are the ones being designed.

ICE has a history of preying on the most vulnerable and abusing people in their custody.

Many have died preventable deaths.

Two disabled people are currently being detained and denied all reasonable accommodations.

It’s eugenics. It’s cruelty for cruelty’s sake.

Disabled People are Being Mistreated in ICE Detention Facilities

Why is no one talking about it? Where's the media? Where's the public outcry? Another example of the pervasive nature of ableism and how society views disabled people as expendable.
