Another reason I couldn't have written ME2 is that every time Shepard met someone From Before, I would have them say "Are you serious?" so that Shepard could reply "No, I'm Cerberus.", and then I would have been dumped on the side of the Yellowhead with no snowboots.
Me, writing Christmas cards when many of my friends are authors: Wait, is that their name or their *name*?

nothing like accidentally discovering that the cover of your book went live on, like, the worst friday of the year for promo. no idea how long it's been up! no idea if the launch date is real! no idea why the cover copy decided to highlight those elements!

Under normal conditions I wouldn't take the time to fill out a form like this for maybe $25, and then maybe more if there's any left.

But, if that money comes from the Westons then sure, I'll take a few minutes, because fuck them.

Canadian content regs are both hilarious and necessary, and honestly: I have mixed feelings about this.
I had no idea our pornography was subject to Canadian content quotas to begin with and I have so many questions

Very glad I did all my errands yesterday. Definitely the kind of snow it's *possible* to go out in, but also the kind of snow where I'm happy to make other people's lives simpler by staying out of the way.

We got really used to them Not Having A Cunning Plan, and then!
Mark Carney managed to trade a pipeline that will never get built for meaningful progress on industrial carbon pricing and electricity interties — both of which will get more wind and solar built.

Remember when people thought he wasn't good at politics? www.nationalobserver.com/2025/11/27/o...

I hope whoever picked their hats always finds their favourite socks, and whoever picked that last "crowd" shot should win the Emmy for live TV whatever.
Okay, the crowd going nuts like someone just scored a touchdown at the Super Bowl all *through* the KDH performance is a hell of a thing to see hear/see:

Happy International Unsubscribe From Everything Weekend! *sighs*
I read a tip earlier this month that I'm going to start implementing–when you purchase something online and they require you to sign up for their mailing list, note in one of your name boxes the website you're filing the form out on. Then you know who sold your data when your inbox gets clogged.

Busses are canceled, Catholic schools are closed (not forever, sadly, just bc they are mostly busses), and tomorrow looks worse.

Just had door to door sales guys so annoying that I immediately emailed their company to complain about them before tearing the flyer into tiny pieces. IT IS COLD OUT. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SAY "I DON'T WANT WINDOWS RIGHT NOW" THREE TIMES.

I drafted 3 novels (one is in proofs, one in copy edits, and one in revision). I am tired.
Hey, props to writers who got literally anything done this year.

I was admittedly a bit o.O wrt lichdom, but as soon as Emmrich said "and of course, time to read all of one's books", I knew he'd be great at it.

Because of 🎶lake effect🎶 we might get 50cm of snow between now and Friday. We might also get none. There is no way to be more specific until it literally starts falling, and even then it might change because of how fast the system is moving.

This is wildly seasonal, but there is nothing on this earth better than fresh wild blueberry pie. For winter pies, I like apple best, but it has to come with cheddar sharp enough to cut diamonds and old enough to vote.
I'm baking pie right now so, do you have a pie preference?

I genuinely love turkey and my mum's stuffing. I know people love to complain about turkey, but if you cook it properly, it's pretty great. I am having sympathetic turkey dinner on Saturday because Thanksgiving was a month and a half ago, but everyone's food posts make me yearn.

Current grocery rage blackouts brought to you by 5lbs of potatoes being $2 more expensive than 10lbs of potatoes, and the amount of math I have to do to figure out which toilet paper is the best price.
