I don’t want to call anyone out but I’m seeing this a lot and you need to understand this. The conman is not stupid for doing the con. When you say “omg he doesn’t know what asylum means” and “lol that’s not how percentages work” you aren’t fully processing the intention.

Sometimes I think of social media as weaponized illiteracy.
One hard part of the literacy problem in the United States is there are a lot of people -- some of them with college degrees and beyond -- who don't realize that they are bad at reading

Do you think I am being too much of a purist or something when I say that I don’t want to be anywhere that doesn’t welcome everyone? Like you probably won’t catch me in the fandom for a sport or game or religion if they exclude people based on race, sex, gender, etc. Is it too much for people?
