Read the new issue of Black Cat by @gwillow.me and @biggleb.bsky.social and man... Wilson writing a certain signature Inhuman again filled me with all sorts of good feelings. Also in general just loving this run. I'm on for the long haul.

Not my mayor, but beyond proud he won. Looking forward to a new era for NYC.

So many people were detained extrajudicially, were tortured, or died because of Dick Cheney. You can't get to the danger we're in now without everything he did. The weapons he helped forge are ones we need to take away from U.S. presidents forever.

Cheney Haunted By People He Didn't Manage To Kill In Iraq War
November 4, 2025 at 5:14 PM
It's really baffling how people will still try to cover for Cheney even when the man's crimes are spelled out in plain view. You can in fact articulate Cheney as a guy responsible for our current situation, It's not hard at all.

Gotta thank Ackerman for giving Cheney the obituary he so richly deserves. Can't compete with a bar like this.

Got 100 Bullets and Unknown Soldier on the docket for this week. Pretty good time for 2000's era Vertigo.

Reading the Dangerous Habits arc of Hellblazer. And man... even as fresh as he is at this point in his career: Garth Ennis absolutely has the emotional goodies he would become known for. Didn't expect it to be a heartfelt shotgun blast this early though.

The Will Simpson art is so gorgeous too.

This is explicitly Absolute Alfred and we love him for that.
The only thing I've really enjoyed about Batman's relentless media omnipresence over the last forty years is his butler being repeatedly retconned into an increasingly stone cold professional killer. Another decade or two and Alfred Pennyworth will be wanted by the ICC for war crimes.

Man, @gwillow.me didn't have to do a not-so-small amount of cape books like that. 😂 Love the work she and @biggleb.bsky.social are doing on Black Cat. Buy it where fine comics are sold.

Wouldn't be too far from how the comics have historically handled him. Also the comments reminding me how much people really save their repressed racism for MENA characters. Like damn.

Really great thread on the dissonance between the kinds of stories people like about the Punisher vs the popular use cases especially by Marvel.

Glad we're not alone on disliking Marvel just letting the character be adopted as a symbol for fascism.
I used to think this tendency to look the other way was such a bitchmade move on Marvel's part. But the reality could be that Ennis' Punisher is not the Frank Castle Marvel wants representing the company.
Marvel just not bothering to take people to court over ripping off the Punisher logo the same way they would for literally any other piece of IP has consequences and here they are now www.theguardian.com/books/2020/j...

all of these videos are horrifying. what feels so singularly striking and scary to me in all of them is the individual seething contempt and rage of these agents
ICE just blatantly violated the law and arrested sitting Chicago Alderperson Jessie Fuentes while seeking to illegally arrest a patient in a hospital. Fuck these fascists.

Saw One Battle After Another at the @musicboxtheatre.bsky.social in glorious 70mm film. It was totally worth it. Absolutely stunning and an interesting shift in PTA's love affair with Pyncheon. It's not faithful to Vineland strictly speaking, but man it translates the idea fairly well from the 60's.
