Convinced Nick Mohammed has sussed them all and knows there’s no point voting a traitor out, he’s right to go the traitor angel route by staying close to Cat without accusing her
my partner and i are sleeping separately at the moment because her insomnia is bad, so i'm on the couch with a blanket watching Bullseye like i'm just back from the pub going through a divorce
yet this is tonally perfect for it
it made no sense then and less sense now, a generationally awful film that pushed worthy work out of awards conversations
around this time last year a small but not insignificant cohort of psychopaths started trying to convince us Emilia Perez was a good film
a most literal reading of ‘make america great again’ would surely not include bulldozing the White House??
Seeing the White House torn apart is really emblematic of the times we’re in
tell me why spotify’s algorithm thinks i want to hear the same five rubbish songs over and over and why apple music’s seems to know exactly what my soul is looking for??

Yes! Such a lovely little film
a perfect double-feature with Peacock which takes inspiration from the same well, but where that film focuses on what taking on personas does to the self, Rental Family is more about what a person in that role is tasked with providing. it's got too much going on, but it's pretty good!
enjoyed Rental Family, though don't see the feel-good film in it others do. its tone is deceptively crowd-pleasing and straight-forward for a story with so much loneliness in it. it's transactional, emotions are bought and sold, and made me think about how disconnected we all are.

convinced the world's major parties are so entrenched in their own legacies, so obsessed with the traditions they built, they're refusing to believe the world can change, and it is unrecognisable to even 15 years ago, the internet is not a separate play space anymore, these parties are out of touch
Government appears "complacent" about the spread of misinformation, and "it is only a matter of time" until fake news online leads to civil unrest like riots following the Southport attack, MPs have warned

you’ll never convince me the streaming model of dumping an entire series at once is half as good as appointment viewing on terrestrial telly like the Traitors
More than 7 million viewers for Celebrity Traitors last night. Sensational in this day and age.

Apple Music feels like the old iTunes and Windows Media Player days where you scroll and look for what *you* want, not have the app choose for you, and i didn’t realise how much that had affected my part in how i listen.
