We are entering a deep recession brought on by Donald Trump's lawless policies as we go into Thanksgiving and Christmas.

You can stretch your money by shopping at thrift shops and yard sales and eBay for household tools and holiday gifts.

Used goods are already imported and avoid the tariffs.

Among other travesties in this statement, National Guard soldiers are not "law enforcement"
REPORTER: There are people upset with the president, believing the National Guard members shouldn't have been there

PIRRO: I don't even wanna talk about whether they should've been there. We ought to kiss the ground and thank God that the president said it's time to bring in more law enforcement

There’s a reason Caesar was forbidden to cross the Rubicon and return to Rome with his army. It’s what separates a relatively free society from a fascist one.

It's time to impeach Trump's cabinet secretaries, in reverse order of public approval rating.

Congress can and should remove Pam Bondi, Kristi Noem, Pete Hegseth, and RFK Jr.

If we accept that we want every American to have access to healthcare, it is inefficient to create more barriers to access for some Americans and fewer barriers to access for other Americans.

A system that treats all Americans equitably and seeks to spend wisely is best.

Is there a think tank or political action committee advancing a Singapore healthcare model for the United States?

Trump's destruction of the the ACA creates an opportunity for some radical change to healthcare that could get bipartisan support.

NYC could pilot.

Just in case you thought it was specific to DHS. Here's today's holiday post from the Dept of Labor. Same pic. Same white family. Same white faces to figure "The American Worker".

Regime staying on brand, on message.

What DHS is posting for the holiday -- where the idealized "future of plenty" is a sea of happy, smiling white faces, clustered around a white table. This is the "homeland" they crave. The nostalgia for Norman Rockwell's America that never really was. White nationalist fever dreams.

BRADFORD: Because great and honorable actions are accompanied by great difficulties. And to burn off extra calories from the pumpkin pie.

BRADFORD: Oh, stop being a baby.

Kash is wrong. According to some of the criminal cases already charged, other-state Guard are operating under their governor's authority. These were WV officers, far from home.
Keystone Kash blows it again: The perpetrator that he’s going to use all available resources to track down in the DC guardsman shooting is already in the hospital. Idiot.

When other professions go through this they have mechanisms to declare the offenders persona non grata. Without claiming that they work fast or well, the medical community still kicked out Andrew Wakefield and the lawyers disbarred Giuliani.

It's also worth remembering that we've watched reporters, talk to each other, and to us, and about their work, in public online for like a generation now. At the same time we've been exposed directly to the experts that you mediate for. The public has first hand information they are operating from.

As L'Affair Nuzzi discourse continues I want to address two objections I've seen from reporters. Roughly

1. Lizza and Nuzzi are destroying public trust in journalism

2. Outside of prestige media (NYT politics beat etc) we're not like this.

And I think these fundamentally misunderstand the public.

Gratitude for how far we've come can lead to commitment to keep making progress toward that “more perfect union” that the Founders saw and imperfectly built.
