In #JapaneseFolklore there's a #yokai known as yama uba, often translated as 'mountain witch.' They're known to appear as kind old ladies offering a place to stay but then late at night they transform into monstrous hags & eat their guests alive.

Had to drive into downtown Halifax this morning and my heart is still racing! Traffic was insane! I ended up parking in my old neighborhood and walking the rest of the way, dodging closed sidewalk signs along the way.
