Systems, complexity, tech, data, politics. I want a world based on mutual aid and democracy that actually means democracy. Your freedom extends to the tip of my nose, and none of us are free until we all are.

I'm so sick of discourse from supposed allies about where trans people went wrong.

Where we "went wrong" is that billionaires spent unimaginably large sums to attack us repeatedly and major media outlets have spent a decade piling on.

⚡️ Poland warns Putin's flight to Hungary for Trump talks could be diverted to The Hague.

"I cannot guarantee that an independent Polish court won't order the government to escort such an aircraft down to hand (Putin) over to the court in The Hague," Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said.

That's awesome dude, I love the internet and being old.
Keir Starmer: "My government is about [insert vague marketing slop statement here]. No further questions."

Zack Polanski: "Wtf? Uh let's [clear, concise, and clearly measurable policy strategy] instead?"

Yeah, can't work out at all how the Greens are doing well in polls and Labour is struggling...
Is the Prime minister subtweeting me?

Meeting yesterday with Brianna Ghey's mother Esther - and pupils at Brianna's former school - was a powerful reminder of why controls on social media and smartphone use in schools is so important for children, teachers and parents. (1/2)

That the murder of Brianna Ghey has been so completely co-opted by the "ban kids from using phones" brigade sickens me to my fucking core. Whatever her killers were looking at it's undeniable that the landslide of transphobic propaganda in the media played a crucial role in their choice of victim.

what the fuck are you talking about, she made a whole community of friends online and was stabbed to death by two of her classmates

can you explain to me in detail what specific controls on social media or smartphones sould have helped to prevent this situation?

Searching for something on the nazi site and it's terrible the violence you come across, in fact I saw this actual cold blooded murder

I can't really explain fully why this is the thing of all things that got my jaw on the floor but I guess it's such a literal symbol and also such a jaw dropping amount of money while small businesses are struggling to survive the tariffs

Such a visible "go fuck yourself"

Starmer has just ended, by dictatorial fiat, a harm-reduction policy that protected minority groups dating back to the murder of Stephen Lawrence, because he hates trans people.
1993: Stephen Lawrence is murdered by racists.
1999: The MacPherson Inquiry recommends recording of non-crime hate incidents.
2005: After the Discrimination Law Review, non-crime hate incidents begin being recorded by UK police.
2025: Mainstream transphobia ends a harm reduction policy that worked.
Met Police says it will no longer investigate non-crime hate incidents
The move comes as an investigation into Father Ted creator Graham Linehan is dropped, after his arrest over a post on X.

Farage/Reform are anti-abortion and they’re not saying it out loud because they know it’s not popular in the UK. So, instead they are pressing on “free speech” while quietly holding anti-abortion views. Farage is getting his money from radical Christians

It is actually unbelievable the degree to which Labour is now just taking their governance cues from whatever comes out the arse of the Reform Party. Just utterly devoid of ideas and moral backbone.
Indeed. Government's proposed ILR changes are wrong morally & politically - that is the main point.

But from purely *economic* perspective, they're likely to be self-defeating - the migrants most likely to be deterred from coming/staying are high-skilled/high-paid, because they have other options!
Huh. If you say you’ll mess with indefinite leave to remain rules it turns out talented migrant workers start looking at their other options. This could never have been predicted!

Perhaps no one Rally was as full of subtext as Boston's, however.

Senator Markey showed up wearing a trans pride flag. His challenger, anti-trans Dem Rep. Seth Moulton showed up to boos and jeers.

This morning my ChatGPT quota was inexplicably exhausted.

It took a while but I pieced it together. Voice mode somehow got activated when I went to bed.

The bot then engaged in a 10 hour conversation with my snoring dog, answering questions the pup wasn’t asking and praising him for his insight.
