we're on the ICE beat at @phoenixnewtimes.com — here with a scoop about a sheriff's office in Arizona that signed a million-dollar contract to cooperate with the feds. the deal contains what appears to be a plush junket fund for the man in charge

NEW: Last year, after signing up for ICE's 287(g) program, the Cochise County Sheriff's Office got a $1M grant.

It included $250K seemingly set aside for Sheriff Mark Dannels -- a Trump supporter -- to travel to conferences held at resorts and casinos:

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.

It's the largest month-on-month increase ever recorded in the summer (data to 1947), and one of the ten largest ever, regardless of season.

it should be separate from work at large. some work is fulfilling, invigorating.

other days are full of [thing that accumulates to burn you out]. best I got is "sludgework." suggestions welcome.
