Two years after Israel’s October 13, 2023 attack that killed Issam Abdallah and injured 6 journalists in southern Lebanon, no one has been held responsible. Israel has targeted journalists for decades without accountability, which has only worsened since October 2023.

Israel has killed at least 237 journalists and media workers since October 7, 2023, according to CPJ data. Those who have survived the record death toll have faced being traumatized, displaced, and deliberately starved over the last two years.
