Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free.
Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.

Wow - this guy must be really, REALLY bad with money if an extra £208 per month will “ruin” his retirement.

Let’s take a look at his situation based on what he told the @Telegraph

Because this does NOT add up!

No, this is not a “poor pensioner” scrabbling around for pennies…

Yesterday’s investiture was the first for ‘services to the non-religious’. Surely a welcome sign of the increasing inclusion of non-religious people in our national life, and a validation of the collective effort of so many in the humanist movement to achieve that recognition.

People are still being mean about me being a racist at school. I tried saying I was only racist in a nice way, but that didn’t work so I pretended that the 23 witnesses were all making it up. Hopefully that will do the trick…”

It's disgraceful that Rachel Reeves didn't take any questions from GB News! The fact that they claim to not be a news channel every time Ofcom find they have breached impartiality rules shouldn't stop them from pretending they are a news channel whenever it suits them.

With regard to your budget, please listen to Hilary from our village. She’s married to Roger & sings soprano in the church choir.

They want a return to good old fashioned Quality Street!

I remember us singing “when you’re stuck on the loo and it won’t come through”
Tragedy!
When you're on the "John" and the paper's gone
It's Tragedy!
And you have to crawl to the other stall
It's hard to do
When someone is peeing a few feet away!

The problem with UK fiscal policy is low productivity, Brexit and a refusal of Chancellors to be straight with the public about what it costs to have the services they want.

None of this is the responsibility of the OBR.

If anything, they've been too accommodating.
