In line with Labour's approach of chasing Reform voters through increasingly right wing policies, this is a useful thread, and accompanying report, showing why not only does this not gain support, but can lead to worse outcomes. Simply put, you can't beat the hard/far right by pandering to them.

In Deutschland können seit Tagen 1000e Schüler_innen nicht regulär ihren Unterricht bestreiten, weil sie und ihre Schulen von Rechtsextremen bedroht werden.
Das läuft einfach so nebenbei. Das ist Terror. Auch wenn (hoffentlich!) Niemand körperlich zu Schaden kommt, so wird der Alltag unterbrochen.

So today I cancelled my family holiday to the US… my reasoning? Well my wife is of Middle Eastern origin and my kids have her dark complexion… subsequently we can’t risk being in the wrong place at the wrong time… sadly this is America today… so for now I’ll spend my tourist dollars elsewhere 🤦♂️🤷♂️

The US is utter chaos. Complete and utter chaos, for at least another four years and probably long into the future. Any British government working in the national interest will be investigating how to quickly reduce our exposure to it.
