Trump & his advisors really don't want Americans to buy anything from outside their own country, do they?

As well as applying his tariff tax on foreign purchases, the value of the $ looks to be dropping like a stone.

In the UK, it's £1.40 for 6 medium eggs (free range), or £4.40 for 12 large (free range also)

The exchange rate was $1.21 when Trump took over. It's $1.29 now.

It appears that the dire warnings that state schools would be overwhelmed by an exodus of pupils from private education were wildly overstated.

Nothing more than fear mongering by the wealthy who saw the cost of their privilege going up.

#Google gets it SOOOOO wrong, while #DuckDuckGo is spot on.

Perhaps a hint that Google should not be your search engine of choice

You'll see from my original reply to you that the only thing I cautioned you about was taking the Daily Mail as a reliable source. It is not. I made no comment on the veracity of your assertion. You had the opportunity to provide a link to a reliable source, but for some reason chose not to.

I have no idea whether what you're saying is true or not, and my reply makes no comment on your veracity, one way or another. I just wanted to caution you against taking the Daily Mail as a source. It's not reliable.

I don't agree with you on the IHT question, Liz.

Wealth in the UK is unfairly distributed. Whether you are wealthy or not depends largely on the lottery of who your parents are. IHT is a means of gentle redistribution of that wealth, taxing you when you die, rather that while you're alive.
