Great piece on Washing Machine here by Stevie celebrating the anniversary of it’s release. It’s easily one of Sonic Youth’s best albums- The Diamond Sea was my go to compilation closer for a good chunk of the late 90s.

Enjoyed most of the excellent line-up at South Facing today in Crystal Palace Park- managed to get there in time to see Caroline, The Twilight Sad, Lankum and Mogwai who were all on great form.
