As a teenager Freedom Got An A.K. was very enjoyable, blasting out through the work speakers when we closed for the the night. Then one of them started doing 25 years of porridge for murder whilst I carried on working in Perfect Pizza, Chesham

And this gig at the Metro Club on Oxford Street - not many people there, we supported (previous band, Stanton), one of them wore a gun holster and we thought he looked a buffoon

Whatever, excellent record. Nice one, Interpol. No idea beyond this album 🤷

The @pitchfork.com top 100 rap albums is genuinely the worst list I've ever seen. Of course, music taste is in the ear of the beholder but you cannot tell me they're doing anything other than fishing for clicks. It could have been a genuine conversation 🤷

Seriously the most unacknowledged and influential band of the 1980s. "Pay No More Than 49p" opened so many young minds. Shaved Women is a fucking PARTY BANGER too.

You can't REALLY strip 'everything' else away from this band as they're bigger than the music. But - if you were just left with the music this would still be a grade A, top tier, original and wild music making collective of people who put out some amazing records
