One of the books in my office is 290 years old. It’s still in excellent condition and easy to read. I wonder how easy it’ll be to read electronic texts 290 years from now. I expect it’ll be rather trickier.

This is a dangerous line of thought, it could imply nerd-dom is "good", or imply there's a wrong way to be a nerd or a wrong way to like Dr. Who. My complaint is supply-side. Capitalism always prefers to give you ~more of it, at a worse quality~ and the current market is hostile to specialist niches
