Once upon a time I dressed up as a robot for Halloween!
The eyes and heart were wired into a battery bank inside the torso. The heart would "beat" with a series of LED blinks. The eyes were aftermarket brake lights for a car and were very bright

I can't get enough of this dress.
I bought it for Queer Prom here in Charlotte and wore it last year. This year we didn't have an event to wear it to so now I'm just wearing it around the house

I don't know, the scene where she's pulling out her teeth and fingernails and whatever else was just as bad as watching her suture shut the holes in her back.
The whole thing made me nauseous. It ruined my evening

Also the Wayfair ads that keep popping up during key moments of the movie (thanks streaming) were so jarring that it was like mentally hitting a cinder block wall at 80 mph

I've sat through The Thing, Slither, Society, Videodrome, Under the Skin, etc
I'm no stranger to body horror.
But for some reason The Substance is making me taste bile in the back of my throat.
It's going to make me puke.
