I've heard that a bunch of new Lucky Star merchandise has been announced lately. I wonder if it's leading up to anything, considering next year is the 20th anniversary of the anime adaptation.

I'm not expecting a season 2 though. I feel like if they wanted to make it, it would already exist by now.

I just watched a bunch of episodes of Bounty Hamster, a 2003 cartoon from my childhood.

My Donkey Kong brainrot caused me to pause at this scene to ponder if the red, green and blue balloons here was a subtle reference to the Donkey Kong Country games.
A bird character with the minds of Marion, Cassie and a mind-switching criminal rhino inside (it makes sense in context) goes to look for an object to knock themselves out. One of the dismissed options are three balloons. From left to right, the balloons are coloured red, green and blue, the exact same colours as the 1 Extra Life, 2 Extra Lives and 3 Extra Lives balloons respectively from the Donkey Kong Country games.
