Garmin does make me laugh sometimes. Set the route planner to “follow popular routes” then ask it to plot Cheltenham to Newport.

Did have one prick today that would have got reported if I’d had cameras. He was blocked by parked cars on his side of the road and decided that after waiting for 3 cars to go past he couldn’t wait another 5 seconds for me to go past and just pulled straight into my path.

100km done! Next milestone is 100 miles, which I plan to get to in 6 weeks.

This is great. Side road zebras! s.170 of the Highway Code enables these.
One of the benefits of a default urban/village 20mph limit is that it unlocks initiatives which would not be possible in higher speed 30mph streets. Wales is planning that local authorities can install simple and cheaper pedestrian crossings at side roads to align with Highway Code.

568k people died in the UK in 2024. We're not full!
If we paid ALL of them an average wage it would cost you £17 a year. Let them work & you pay nothing.
UK will be better off.
