Cycling, camping, cycling and camping, SAABs. Bit of everything really.

A bit left of Castro
Sod e-bikes, we need to get some regulation on these f***ing bridges! Jumping out and damaging busses, injuring people. Bloody menace!

You should be crossing the line anyway. If you’re not, then you’re not giving enough space. If there’s not space to overtake, then don’t.

100km done! Next milestone is 100 miles, which I plan to get to in 6 weeks.

Bit disappointed with my avg speed as there were some really fast bits, but I just came to pretty much a stop on the hills

Dog Man Star is one of the greatest albums ever.

I’ve calmed it down a bit now to one of my favourite songs ever

I’m doing britpop

So I complained about the use of “e-bike” in this article and this was the response from the bbc. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I didn’t say that. Read what actually wrote and then ask yourself why you think “cyclist” and “car user” are mutually exclusive

In honour of #NoMusicDay some #KLF

Yay! Hit 80km today which I’m counting as a milestone if only because it’s 50 miles. Managed to keep my avg above 25kph, although I think that’s more due to the bike than me.

Only another 240km to go and I’ll be ready for my long ride in June

If it calms down when I sing kum-by-ya, then I’ll know there’s a problem

I’ll let guess at roughly what point in the trip this happened

This is the Range Rover driving prick who tried to run my off the road. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my cameras on and can’t remember the reg so no point reporting it.

20mph zones can only do so much

Really enjoyed that this morning. Longest ride in a very long time and legs were screaming by the time I got back, which is exactly what I wanted.

Lots of runners and cyclists out and I noticed that whilst the cyclists were all smiling, the runners didn’t look like they were enjoying themselves.

This is old but I suspect that the proportions haven’t changed.

Yeah that was as a response to the a large number of older people on e-bikes.

Interestingly, whilst this person almost says it, you don’t see campaigns for walking or car helmets.

Also, the Dutch have done everything else so it’s worth looking at helmets. In the UK at least we really haven’t.

With cycling helmets being well at the bottom of the list.

Choon!

Never going to argue against lights; they’re a legal requirement, but if Irene’s friend can’t see someone because they’re wearing black, they should get their eyes checked. Michael is also due a trip to Specsavers and should see the evidence that hi-vis doesn’t reduce the chance of a collision

Finally have a garden big enough to pitch it! Love my Wild Country family tents (I’ve got a smaller one too). I’ve got a Terra Nova for bike trips, but the family tents are old Wild Country and they’re bomb proof. 25mm steel poles.

Such a shame that they don’t make them anymore.

Time to find out just how empty this gas canister is 💥🧨

Sod you Garmin! That was great fun and if I’m “over-reaching” it’s only because I haven’t had the chance to get out! Loosened up the legs and felt like a cyclist again (helped, in part, by the tail-wind)
