Cycling, camping, cycling and camping, SAABs. Bit of everything really.

A bit left of Castro
We’ve probably all had an incident that could have gone this way. Hope they recover quickly

Apart from the ID.3, I’d have all of those. Which 9-3 was it?
December 3, 2025 at 1:46 PM
You should. The 2nd gen of 900 was probably the worst car Saab made so if you dealt with that, anything else will be fine!

I’d love to see how narrow they can make them, whilst still being able to claim that they’ve retained them.

“What do you mean you can’t drive your car down it? We drove our Messerschmidt down it just fine”

I remember my grandad saying this years ago. He said you can pay your steelworkers, coal miners, teachers (state employees) anything you like because you’ll get it back in VAT and a busy economy. The more you pay them, the more they spend.

Do you mean nationalised?

I had a Volvo V70 for less than 6 months. As I was driving it home I was thinking “yeah, this isn’t a keeper”.

Also, an Alfa Romeo 146Ti for about the same amount of time. It was fabulous the 3 times I drove it, but it cost me a fortune and I was grateful when the scrap man said he’d collect it.

“heavy electic machines that go from 0-20 in secs with no pedaling” aren’t e-bikes. That’s a motorbike you’re describing. The regulations make this clear.

E-bikes are not motorbikes. Anybody arguing that either doesn’t know what they’re talking about or is arguing in bad faith.

You also claim that e-bikes are “totally unregulated”, which is hyperbole at best and outright lying at worst
December 3, 2025 at 6:00 AM
Just trying to understand what you think is wrong with the regulations. If you can’t articulate that, then that’s fine, but it’s not a me problem.
December 2, 2025 at 1:14 PM
I bet Reform wouldn’t.
December 2, 2025 at 1:10 PM
I’ve read the article. It talks, over multiple paragraphs, of the regulations to which e-bikes are subject.

What regulations do you think are missing? Or is it the content of the regulations you disagree with?

And me
December 2, 2025 at 9:06 AM
That’s why you should drive into a parking space and reverse out. It’s not hard.
December 2, 2025 at 7:42 AM
E-bikes aren’t totally unregulated. Who told you that?
December 2, 2025 at 7:05 AM
Oh I wish I had your view of humanity. Studies show that cyclists and drivers go through red lights at about the same proportion. Neither should do it, but it’s not an issue particular to cyclists.
December 2, 2025 at 7:00 AM
I’d be interested to see if they can articulate why those junctions aren’t suitable.
