WHEN we prosecute this as the Crime Against Humanity (Society) it is, the penalities should not just be prison; but complete asset forfeiture. Assets flow into public coffers. Not to family, business partners, shareholders, or even in trust. Payment for this stunning lack of empathy and cruelty.

Contact your reps directly.

I keep seeing stuff about a petition and like, contact your reps directly. Sign that too if you want, but petition signatures are a lesser priority.
Congress is attempting to fast track KOSA and more than a dozen bills that would restrict internet access, censor speech and increase surveillance under the guise of protecting children.

Committee hearings begin tomorrow.
Lawmakers to consider 19 bills for childproofing the internet
KOSA is back, along with more than a dozen other bills that will erode free speech and privacy in the name of protecting kids.

I would give a lot to have seen this.
Eleven years ago, I wrote to Tom Stoppard to ask about this coup de théâtre from 1949. It took me down an unexpected rabbit hole - in memory of Stoppard, here's what I found.

The problem with climate change is we have to convince a bunch of people that future people are actual people, when they don't even believe some currently alive people are people.

I may rejoin the church and go for Holy Orders after all. I know I can dance in a full robe already.

So, can we PLEASE stop trying to convince ourselves that these people are just confused, or lost? That we need to extend them more grace, more benefit of the doubt? Can we just, for the sake of all our souls and sanity just call them out out for the Evil they are and are perpetrating?

Some brilliant and unwavering GOOD NEWS for those of us here in the Emerald City. I am so very glad I got to vote for Katie Wilson, and even happier she will be our new Mayor. Huzzah!
🚨🚨🚨
Wilson took a 1,976-vote lead over Bruce Harrell. With a maximum of 1,320 ballots remaining, it is mathematically impossible for Harrell to catch up.

Local organization and community building, growth, and support, is the only way we are going to get through this authoritarian nightmare. It is going to be very hard. There is no simple or easy way out. The Top-Down salvation mode is not allowed. It doesn't meet the profitability threshold.

Let us talk of fear. To even think of fear is forbidden, and unmans us. So many fears. Not being seen as a man. Being laughed at by a woman. Not being seen as virile by other men. Not masculine enough, tall enough, strong enough. Pull women enough. Fear of fear. THEN, we turn all of that to anger.
We say men are less emotional because we coincidentally don't define anger or reacting because of ego as emotions.

Abolishing ice and prosecuting those ICE officials and employees who commit these crimes must be the baseline for the Democratic Party going forward. Anyone who does not adopt this basic stance is OK with you or your neighbors being kidnapped by masked men and must be driven from political life.
I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

Folks aren’t getting paid, families are wondering if they'll have food on the table — and now they’re closing off airspace right before the holidays. (1/2)

Can we PLEASE move out of the Onion universe? This is 4 days of court time. 4 gods forsaken days!
Defense begins, “This case, ladies and gentlemen, is about a sandwich. A sandwich that according to Agent Lairmore somehow both exploded on his chest in a spray of mustard and onions but also landed intact on the ground still in its Subway wrapper.”

They gutted the Washington Post. CBS. NYT. Now Teen Vogue.

The point isn't to bring in more conservatives. They've reached that saturation point.

They are killing the fourth estate and buying up the social media to control the messages we see. These were all targeted to disarm the left of truth.

Day 34 of Govt shutdown. Second full paycheck unpaid this week (partial one at beginning of October). This is problematic. However, I would like to rant about the terrifying hellscape of job hunting in the modern world. Buddah wept, this is frustrating and cumbersome in a way I do not remember. Its

31 Days and the SotH still won't convene. If we were civilized, his abdication of responsibility would be grounds to strip him of his title, and removed from the house. Note, nary a peep. This is what I mean when I say, the problem isn't just Trump. The corruption is ubiquitous.

AI used to.perpetuate racism? Shocked I am not. Who is surprised? Every gods-rotten thing in this country for 400+ years has been utilized to feed the ignorance of, and fan the flames of hatred of racism in this country. More racist shenannigans, must be Tuesday.
So there were some AI-generated videos that purported to show Black women ranting about SNAP benefits, and... Fox News is reporting on this like these are real people. They're not! They're AI!

This is truly insane. Total unreality. www.foxnews.com/media/snap-b...
