My thought is that, despite what this one featured actor believes, the use of AI is not excused by the quality of storytelling or character development.

Especially when you’re talking about the eight thousandth iteration of the same Power Rangers thing. Bro.

His small talk advice in the article is beautiful and spot on. Turning conversations with people you think are boring into interviews to find out what makes them interesting can be rewarding for all parties. "Just open up your heart and let him walk around there for a while.” - that's beautiful.

A decade ago this language would have rightly labelled you as far-right, racist. Now it gets you a glossy piece in the Sundays tied to political ambitions.

It is not difficult to see how this extreme language used by Lam opens the door for eventually going further to talk of deporting citizens.
Sunday Times interview Tory "rising star" Katie Lam

She is clear she wants lots of legal migrants to be told to "go home" so as "to leave a mostly but not entirely culturally coherent group of people"

(The interviewer suggests she is scrapping ILR or stripping people of it)

I would argue that we DO say someone's "a looker" to mean that they're attractive, so sight is on the list as a positive.

Some kind of beautiful, delicious, screeching, foul-smelling hologram.

Every single media outlet is publishing stories trying to drum up sympathy for ICE agents and I’m thrilled the collective responsive is ALWAYS just “fuck you eat shit.”

We often assume the places we love in cities were “always that way.” But even in European cities, cars got in the way for decades. Torino’s Piazza San Carlo was a parking lot from the 1970s until 2005, when it was made a people place again for the 2006 Winter Olympics. HT @modacitylife.com for pics.

You can judge any city by the quality and vitality of its places for public life. Here in Torino Italy it’s the many piazzas, the pedestrian streets, & the public market. Many cities had to claim these places back from cars.

Don’t have those kinds of places in your city? Are you sure you’re a city?

Study after study shows that it's remarkably cheap and easy to solve the problems of homelessness and poverty with low-barrier supportive housing and universal basic income, but our own fear that someone, somewhere will get something they didn't "earn" keeps us looking for other (punitive) options.
“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.
Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me
In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

Just stumbled upon a bunch of people talking about how Starmer’s actually pretty good and everyone is just so mean to the ham-faced cunt, people only hate him because the media tell them to.

I post this so I don’t feel the need to yell at them personally for being fucking morons.
