Agreed. It's a surprise to me to see him take this one on, but I'm cautiously hopeful that this may be more of a marketing issue. I've enjoyed quite a lot of his work; I find it hard to imagine he'd churn out some racist tripe. Only time will tell

...mixed or Asian heritage. I say mixed because I think the value in telling stories about Betsy when she was in Psylocke's body comes from the cultural discrepancy and body dysmorphia that this white woman would have (otherwise you just tell stories about Kwannon before the body swap).

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

I'm currently halfway through Leech by @hironennes.bsky.social and I cannot recommend this book enough! It is puzzling, horrifying and immensely satisfying.

I'm struggling to put this book down, almost like there's a black tendril behind my eye compelling me to keep reading...

Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job.
AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:

Which character permanently altered your brain chemistry?

The first episode of DS9 I ever saw involved Dax talking about one of her previous lives. I didn't know how Trill worked, and just saw this beautiful woman talking about how she used to be a man and a father. I was FASCINATED.
