Just saw a man in his car almost kill anther man then swerve and drive erratically and at speed on the footpath. The other man said he thought he was going to die. I did too. Guy next to me stranger scooped his kid up in protection. Reported him. Apparently he had 2 kids in his car. I feel sick

I will not be going into Melbourne CBD while police have powers to wand and pat down and I have no right to refuse. I was raped by an ADF army reservist as a teenager so I have problems with men who join the ‘forces’. To expect me to be fine with this is absurd.

When I say that locking mothers in the suburbs with small children breaks them? This is what I mean.
It’s why we need universal daycare, paid parental leave for a full year, with gradual return to work schedules.
Babies do best in groups of peers (siblings are not peers). And adults NEED peers!

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.
