Ran into an old friend a couple of days ago. He follows me on social media so he knows where I stand, which is why he asked if I wanted to go get a license to carry with him. I told him me with a gun is a bad idea. He looked at me for a second and said, "Yeah, you're right."

What do you even say about a giant like Drew Struzan except study him. Go make some marks, some actual marks, with pencils and paints and an airbrush if you’ve got one hanging around. Everything you could ever need to learn about this craft is in his work.

RIP Drew Struzan. Not just a movie poster artist but a man capable of putting lightning in a bottle, and of taking the form of cinema and encapsulating its spirit in still imagery. The best that will ever do it.
