Artificial flavors are only artificial to the extent that a lab has synthesized the dominant organic compound of a particular taste. Like the taste of truffle is *mostly* 2,4-dithiapentane but also some other stuff. There’s no molecular difference between artificial and natural 2,4-dithiapentane.

For writing on note pads, I've long liked notepads with the vertical line a few inches from the left side. TIL this is called "Pitman Ruled" paper, as it was created for use with a shorthand system created by Isaac Pitman in 1837.

It’s a pretty simple cost vs. benefit to me, and the myriad costs outweigh any potential benefit as far as I’m concerned.

From what I know, it was only able to stop .45 ACP and subsonic 9mm rounds, which is even less bulletproof than a cheap level IIA vest—those can at least stop full-power 9mm.

Hate to see other innocent people being kidnapped enslaved and tortured. I been there and justice has yet to be done.
Record everything and keep it forever because that's how long it is taking for this survivor to get a chance of comfort and resolution.

I’m very grateful to @azagmayes.bsky.social for successfully suing the Trump administration to stop its illegal withholding of SNAP benefits.

Now I don’t have to spend all weekend drafting a lawsuit and TRO/PI motion, which I had planned to do, because without SNAP I cannot feed my son.
