Everybody should contact thier senate dems and tell them who you want for majority leader.
I think we all know who we want running the Dem Senate caucus now.
Send Chuck back to the backbenches and let the guy who got us proof of life for Kilmar start managing things. Van Hollen has initiative and guts at a time when most Senators are just there to sit in a fancy room.

i have no doubt that senator van hollen was genuinely concerned for the safety and welfare of abrego garcia BUT ALSO this is what i'm talking about when i say POLITICAL AMBITION. van hollen may well make himself a household name and nationally recognized political figure with this move

As unlikely as this possibility sounds, it certainly wouldn't hurt if everyone writes their republican representatives and tells them to do exactly this.
Four R senators and four R House members could announce they're caucusing with the Dems for now, and will vote for Schumer for Majority Leader and Jeffries for Speaker, because the threat to the rule of law is dire. Meanwhile, they'll work with Democrats to construct guardrails against dictatorship.

It's wrong to send Americans to an overseas megaprison. It's wrong to send non-Americans to an oversea megaprison. It's wrong whether they committed a crime or not. It's wrong whether they have been sentenced for a crime or not. Cruel and unusual punishment is wrong. Concentration camps are wrong.

I'm not just passing it on to other users, I wrote an email to my representative in the state government about this idea. I encourage everyone else who wants this change to do the same.

As a patriotic American, I couldn't agree more. What this country needs is for someone to talk some sense into it, both from the inside and from the outside.
