It's just that it's a really weak joke. It's the kind of joke that makes you over-think it, thinking there must be more of an actual joke. It feels like there should be some reason why it's cows in particular and not some other animal.

If enough people voted against rightism, it would be electorally unviable, and you'd have better options in the first place. And if you want better options sooner, just vote in the primaries. But if you lose the primaries fair and square the correct solution isn't to just let the right win.

This is stupid. You can't just let fascism win because the alternative isn't literally perfect. When you choose not to vote you are eliminating any possibility that your opinion could be a factor in politics at all.
