I'm pleased to see the appearance of my piece on the historical context of Britain's Army Reserve.

The power of the citizen-soldier
Britain has a long history of reservists defending the country in times of crisis. Reviving this tradition is among the most effective ways to secure Europe from Russian aggression.

The leaders agreed on the importance of continued military support for UKraine, as it goes through a 4th winter of war.

The UK PM also confirmed the UK would continue to maintain pressure on Russia and provide Ukraine with the support it needs for as long as it takes.

The starkest of warnings.

If you vote for Farage, what does that make you? Because the rest of us are definitely asking.

I see despite the media’s best efforts some of the positive economic news is filtering through. Possible Interest cut next week, predictions based on evidence of inflation down to 2.5 next year, food inflation dropping, business supportive of government on key issues. Good news
Couple of things here:

1. Trump says he took another cognitive test recently

2. In front of "large numbers of doctors and experts"

3. He called the examinations "long...and very boring"

4. If you're given 3 cognitive exams in one year by panels of doctors, something is VERY wrong with you

Both but Lee took the credit! Or had it given to him. I'm firmly of the belief that assessment of generals should be based on what they achieved, as opposed to their technical skill. On that level it's hard to argue with Lee's achievement in the Seven Days.

not disagreeing with you except that he did save the confederacy

Great photo - thanks for sharing

And me - our son had his graduation ceremony there.

Probably Chancellorsville, but also Seven Days. Tho' if he hadn't performed so brilliantly then, CSA might well have been defeated in 1862, so he prolonged the war ultimately causing more damage to his beloved South, so...
An official complaint has been filed with FIFA's ethics committee over the awarding of the prize to Trump and comments Gianni Infantino has made about the president.

The media are obsessed with Starmer’s downfall. Determined to bring it about asap.

If he were bad he’d bring about his own downfall, a la Truss Johnson May et al. But he isn’t.

It’s because he’s reversing the rot & the wrong people are benefitting - us

The Tories say that all parties want to tackle child poverty.

Sadly, it's not true. Only Labour have taken action.

We'll drive the largest reduction of child poverty within a single Parliament.

Deeds, not words.

The same MSM widely blowing smoke up Farage’s arse are precisely the same ones coming for Labour with everything they’ve got - because this is the most progressive government we’ve had in generations. And they are delivering. This terrifies the right: With. Everything. They’ve. Got.

Because, you see, buying influence is only a worry if a Labour peer donates a couple of "freebie" outfits to close friends. When a man, whose business is literally DARK MONEY, single-handedly rescues a near-bankrupt far-right party, leading in the polls, he's doing it because he believes in Nige.
