Write in present tense, whenever possible. Reasons:

* Brevity.
* Consistency.
* Clarity. I was taught this back when I wrote tech manuals. "When you click on GO, a dialog box will appear." WHEN will it appear? Immediately? Or sometime before the sun goes nova?" #AmEditing

@sickoscommittee.org not only does this need to come back, the Super Bowl needs to adopt this
From the 1950s to 1970s, the Prime Minister opened the Grey Cup with a ceremonial kickoff.
The worst kickoff was one yard by John Diefenbaker in 1959. The best was 32 yards by Pierre Trudeau in 1969. 72-year-old Governor General Roland Michener equaled that distance in 1971.

At some point, it just becomes too much! You can't talk about Trump *accurately* without sounding irrational--almost insane! Merely stating the basic, provable, publicly-acknowledged facts of the last ten years of his life makes you sound like you really do have Trump Derangement Syndrome!

Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.

The key factor that everyone seems to always forget is that Trump was the host of what was once the highest rated show on network TV - a purportedly non-fiction show that portrayed him as a hyper-savvy and hyper-successful businessman.
Trump has gotten huge numbers of infrequent voters to the polls, twice. He's deeply unpopular but has mobilized a large, unprecedented coalition of Americans motivated by some combination of ignorance, avarice, and cruelty. It is hard to describe what he has as something other than charisma
His charisma is fundamentally incompatible with me (and likely many of the people on Bluesky) but it’s kind of insane to say it doesn’t exist

- non-peer reviewed paper
- relies on non-representative sample
- data mining for correlation instead of looking for causation
- AI facial recognition always had a race problem

Conclusion: AI is still a solution looking for a problem to solve
