He's been on paid leave ever since she filed for a protective order alleging domestic abuse last June.

Now is not the time to reelect a mayor who refuses to take responsibility for the failures of his administration. We have lost shelter beds every year of the mayor’s term, and more people are sleeping outside as a result. We are a national outlier on unsheltered homelessness.

Conservative Christians in the 1970s & 80s had a persecution complex that was ALSO anti-fascist. Their children & the subsequent generation took the wrong lessons about fascism and have ended up being the perpetrators of today’s fascism.

Police officers who publicly declare that they’ll quit if a mayoral candidate they dislike wins the election are (1) usually bluffing—sure buddy, toss away that paycheck and pension—and (2) exactly the sort of cops cities would be better off without, ones who don’t see themselves as public servants.

So many people i talk to mention that their out-of-state friends or family have heard little to nothing about what’s going on in Chicago.
