I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Despite J watching F1 for years now, I have absorbed and retained zero facts about the drivers other than Alex Albon has an amazing clowder of cats.
Kind of criminal that it's barely mentioned on his wikipedia page.

New pup has been a bit leash reactive so we weren’t sure how she’d do with a guest in our apartment but @ewokmama.bsky.social was baby’s first visitor and it was a success! Raven wasn’t territorial at all and was very wiggly and happy to meet them. 💕

You do not have to be physically abled to do this. Dispatchers, coordinators, social media, maintaining group chats, or acting as a liaison between regional response groups are all very important skills right now.
One constant, regardless of the city, is that rapid response teams organized by community members have materially made a difference in the lives of targeted minorities. If you haven't joined one of those but you have the capacity to do so, join. Hurry up and find out where to and get to it.
