When my dad hit 50, his gross salary was £45k, which was pretty much exactly the same amount as the purchase price of his 4 bed detached house had been 15 years earlier. We bought a house 19 years ago for £340k. Guess what? 19 years later my salary is definitely not more or less the same 😂
