This picture has been making the rounds again, and is being misidentified again.

This is a GOOSEFISH.

This is NOT a tasselled wobbegong shark.

It’s a great pic. I get why people are very excited about it. But it’s as easy to give it the right name as the wrong one.

When away for months filming on location I always take the pups with me so they can be on set or in my trailer. When gone less than a week on promo-junkets they stay home w/ family members so they're not alone in a hotel room all day. How can I not to miss Mabel, Trixie (a/k/a Bat-Mite) & Millie?!❤️

This is the best way to make coffee. No bitter aftertaste. In fact the aftertaste is hints of chocolate. If you do the grind with cardamom, you'll have the best headache cure.

If you can't vget Turkish grind (badically coffee flour) the next best is Moka (Italian pressure brew).

A close-up of a Tufted Titmouse with his/her tuft blowing in the wind. I love their black eyelashes. The thin black feathers around the break are rictal bristles, which are common in many birds but their size and placement differs between species.

One of my neighbors has been putting up these fish facts posters. All kinds of different fish, marine, freshwater, deep, shallow, all kinds. This is a good one. “Stg this real fish” took me out. Good work, neighbor.

Artomyces pyxidatus, the Crown-tipped Coral or Candelabra Coral fungus, was not seen in the UK over the entire 20th century, its last record in 1886 until a spate of recent findings around 2022, which is when I found this specimen (in East Kent). Where did it disappear all this time?

Steely Dan "Reelin' In The Years" 1973
Described as "a prime example of what would become the Dan's trademark vibe, marrying a sardonic kiss-off to an ex, to a bouncy shuffle groove, & adding on some white-hot guitar dazzlement, courtesy of Elliot Randall to bring the whole thing home."

The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

Along the OK turnpike over Thanksgiving, one truck stop chain (not sure which -- preoccupied w/ the drive) posted unleaded at $2.25 credit. They offered a .25 discount for cash pymt, & so also posted a big '$2 per gallon' sign.

Trump suckups. They won't get our business on the return trip.
Trump tweeted gasoline was down to $1.99/ga in certain states. I’m guessing those states are In Saudi Arabia or something because in our country, Tulsa usually leads with lowest at the pump price (even lower than OKC). Here is Quiktrip and Walmart/Sams (usually the cheapest).
