I recently learned that there was a deleted scene which explains why that reporter suddenly disappears from the plot. It's because once the villain takes the Mask, he tosses her into a printing press that prints her own obituary with her blood.

...I kind of get why it was cut.

For gamers out there, leaks like this means nothing without context.

It doesn't prove the in-game model is the same.
It could just be the LOD/low-res model from an aerial scene or main menu, a reference for mappers, a test model, or something completely different.

Didn't the Akira Yoshida story come up barely a week after he was promoted? Given that they had just fired Alonso, they probably felt it was "safer" to keep Cebulski rather than fire another EiC in barely a week or two
