A lot of them already are us. They just don't realize the reason they feel shitty all the time is because they're forcing their brain and/or body into a hole that was shaped for the other ~72% of the population
The other aspect of this “the disabled might be actually faking it” is that, everyone saying it is just a bad day away from joining all of us.

A "hell yeah" about my art makes me float on a cloud for a straight week
I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice

COVID isn’t acting like the viruses most of us grew up with, and treating it like “just a cold” is putting people at real risk. David Brasure breaks down why SARS-CoV-2 is fundamentally different, how it causes long-term damage, and what we can do to protect ourselves.

I just assume every problem is COVID brain-shrink until proven otherwise
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

The last thing I said in a dream, before my alarm woke me up was "I have a great idea—"

We will never know what brilliance was robbed from humanity.

Sorry.

…Oh. Oh no. Oh no nonono. …And yet: of course.

"Gen AI" tells you the thing you are statistically most likely to accept so you keep using it— & research shows that most people who like "AI" like it *Because* it sycophantically tells them their ideas are great & should defs be implemented. So… Yeah.
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

I've deleted 50 ad emails for Black Friday and it's not even noon yet.

That's not counting probably the hundreds I've deleted leading up to Black Friday in the past few weeks. What a bunch of digital waste.

Has anyone else noticed that #BlackFriday ads from big corporations have been extra desperate this year? I think they're afraid of #BlackoutTheSystem

What I wanna know is: Whose job is it to come up with these weird, shaming, moral panic names for just normal things people do?
stupid young people, stop buying a new phone every year if you don't want to be broke. wait no, not like that.

I don't have kids, and I have chronic fatigue (I'm tired no matter how much sleep I get).

I'd choose 4, because if I didn't have to tire myself out with errands, I'd probably clean more.
The way my neurodivergence is set up, I have to choose 2.

Mind your business
Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Some vaccines like COVID and flu don’t stop completely stop infection.

But they do reduce the risk of getting infected and greatly reduce severe illness risk.

They are still worth getting.

Since they are not 100% effective it’s also wise to add another layer of protection by wearing a mask.
